This is just a quick post to apologize for the lack of updates in the past few days. On Saturday night, my washer overflowed. Dramatically. From the second floor of my house. On the eve of my mother’s birthday as she was out to dinner.
She arrived home literally at the stroke of midnight to find her housein complete and utter chaos, and CPR Services of Robbinsville has come literally every day this week since, generally at the crack of dawn. I also stayed at work until well past midnight Tuesday because of the school budget and board elections, so I’ve been a bit of a wreck this week. Posting should resume soon.
To keep in the spirit of things, CPR Services was very homo-friendly, and never batted an eyelash at the mention of the boyfriend, who actually let them in today to recoup their last “air mover” (read: expensive fan) while my mother and I were at work.
Our neighbors, who alerted us to the flood (it spilled out onto the street), provided clean-up equipment, help and advice Saturday night, and generally keeped me from going insane have also never acted weird about us, and the boy met one of them today, who acted totally cool. (It might help that he’s European.)
